Kardinia Early Learning is a not for profit Early Learning Centre that offers a dynamic, nurturing play based program for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years of age.
Our approach to early childhood education and care is eclectic, drawing inspiration from pioneers in our field such as Maria Montessori, Loris Malaguzzi (Reggio Emilia), Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber. We aspire to ensure every child experiences differentiated learning environments that promote many ways of learning, knowing and being.
ABOUT THE ROLE
An "inclusion support educator" is a specialised role, and will support our team in creating inclusive environments for all children, especially those with additional support needs.
The successful applicant will be familiar with complex medical needs, including (but not limited to); PEG / BOLUS feeding.
Patience and passion for supporting children's needs and challenges, a growth mindset, and exceptional communication skills- are a must.
The role is Full-Time, with the option for Part-Time for the right applicant. Hours/Shifts flexible.
WITH A TEAM BASED APPROACH YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Working with the team to identify and address barriers to inclusion, promoting inclusive practices that ensure all children can participate fully.
- Offer and provide individualised support for children with additional support needs.
- Identify and address barriers to inclusion, such as resources, training, or specialised equipment.
- Providing clear and open communication with families and team.
- Role modelling and promoting the Kardinia Values and Philosophy.
YOU WILL HAVE:
The following qualifications and checks:
- An Early Childhood, Education Support or Integration Aid, Nursing or Medical equivalent qualification
- Current Working with Children Check.
