About us:
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work within the Gladstone Community Specialist Palliative Care Service. This service encompasses Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mt Morgan, Gladstone and Banana (based in Gladstone) and the Central Highlands (role based in Emerald). The service team comprises of a Staff Specialist Palliative Care, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse, Social Worker, and Administration Officer and operates collaboratively with GP, Non-government organisations and across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service CQHHS.
About the role:
This opportunity offers a chance to be part of a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to delivering person-centred specialist palliative care to individuals and families in the Gladstone community. The team focuses on addressing complex physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, empowering patients to maintain autonomy and have control over their decision making in the last 12 months of life.
As a Registered Nurse working in the Community Specialist Palliative Care team, you will provide direct care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, helping people to remain at home for end-of-life care. The specialist palliative care service provides support, partnership, and education to the generalist palliative care workforce to support capacity building and promote equitable access to safe and responsive palliative care.
About you:
- Registered Nurse qualification
- Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $25,432 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
