About the role

Everick Heritage Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in our Brisbane office. This is a full-time role that will be responsible for working with the Senior Payroll Officer to manage all aspects of the company's payroll operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Process fortnightly and weekly payroll for all employees, including calculation of wages, leave, superannuation, and other deductions
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure all information is accurate and up to date
• Assist with the preparation of payroll tax and other statutory payments and reports
• Provide support and advice to employees on payroll-related queries
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as the finance team and regulatory bodies
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the payroll function

You will have

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a payroll officer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
• Advanced proficiency in the use of MYOB payroll software and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• A demonstrated ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work under pressure
