Osborne Richardson are delighted to be able to offer an amazing role with Queensland State Government. Our client, based in Logan City, is seeking a Project Support Officer to join the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce team on a contract until June 2026, with the view of extending beyond this.

As a Project Support Officer, you will:

• Undertake a range of activities to support the various functional areas of the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce.
• Administrative tasks including secretariat functions for stakeholder meetings and record keeping.
• Logistics support for fire ant suppression activities delivered by external parties, this includes inventory management.
• Data entry and basic analysis in support of operational activities. Utilisation of GIS mapping and data management systems
• Respond to and resolve customer queries via internal systems such as CaSES CRM and the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce inbox.
• Support of community engagement activities, including social media moderation, attendance at public engagement events and assisting large scale mailout campaigns.
• Provide technical support to the operational delivery of FAST and its role in assisting the eradication efforts of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current ‘C’ class drivers’ licence.
• While not mandatory, a relevant qualification from a recognised tertiary institution and/or an understanding of biosecurity response activities and/or experience in applying your capabilities in a response environment, would be well regarded.
