The purpose of this role is to effectively manage resources associated with the delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal workforce capability and productivity. You will provide strategic resource planning and operational management to support RoadTek's core business of construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, and servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage resources to deliver multi-discipline infrastructure projects, adapting to meet variances in demand and/or project changes.
  • Actively manage the labour resource pool to maximize project efficiency and minimize the impact of peaks and troughs.
  • Manage workforce performance processes in accordance with RoadTek policy, including performance management, coaching, and addressing underperformance.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to facilitate business, technical, and personal development of our people.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of workforce planning strategies, including recruitment, capability, and succession planning.
  • Manage rehabilitation and injury management procedures to ensure appropriate return-to-work practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers and external labour suppliers, including management of Standing Offer Arrangements.
  • Ensure consistent application of RoadTek business processes and systems to maximize resource effectiveness.
  • Participate in the implementation of operational unit plans and assist with strategic business planning.

The successful person
You will have demonstrated:

  • Expertise in managing resources for complex operational projects, including undertaking workplace planning and performance management functions.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills necessary to provide expert support and advice and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Ability to lead and manage change in a complex environment.
