About the role
Maternal & Child Health is a high performing team where people come first. We are seeking a skilled customer focused & friendly team player to help us ensure we continue to deliver exceptional value for our community.
Be part of a supportive team of Administration Officers and Maternal & Child Health Nurses whose day-to-day work is focused on making a positive difference in the lives of new parents, babies and families.
The Administration Officer role is an essential component of our daily operations. On any given day you will schedule and reschedule appointments, respond to phone enquiries from parents and MCH nurses, sensitively and flexibly respond to individual requests, perform standard procedures with accuracy and contribute your exceptional administrative skills to supporting our innovation projects.
Skills and experience require to perform the role
- High level customer service skills, warm and professional phone manner, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Responding to phone enquiries, processing registrations, scheduling appointments, ordering, receiving and distributing supplies
- Experience working in a team and communicating effectively with varying levels of staff and external customers.
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative support role with well-developed skills in time management, general administrative practices & working with procedures.
- Demonstrated understanding of Child Safe requirements and how this applies in the role.
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Working with children check
Desirable
- Experience with CDIS database, excel and TRIM
- Previous experience in local government.
- Ability to speak a language other than English.
- Basic understanding of the principles and operations of Local Government & Maternal Child Health Service
- Basic skills in producing statistical reports
- Knowledge of the National Immunisation Program
