Senior Project Manager

Salary - Up to $125,000 + 11.5% Super

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a Local Council in Western Sydney to oversee the development and delivery of key projects related to Civic Place. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in building construction, project management, and asset management within a government or large-scale infrastructure setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery: Manage planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover processes to ensure timely and high-quality project completion.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, budget constraints, and environmental and safety standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, identify project hazards, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to best-practice asset management and infrastructure solutions, considering political sensitivities, lifecycle costs, and community expectations.

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Building Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in the building construction industry, with a strong background in managing diverse projects.
• Proven expertise in project planning, design management, tendering, and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of BCA, DDA, and relevant Australian building and construction regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A valid Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card) and Class C Driver's License.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with government grant administration, asset management plans, and financial management.
• Knowledge of remediation works and environmental sustainability.
