Project Manager

Location: VIC (4 hours West of Melbourne)

Indicative assignment length: 12-Month Contract

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in EPCM projects? Do you have a mechanical or electrical engineering degree and a passion for mining operations, particularly in mineral processing? We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to join a high-profile project in the mining and processing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of project execution, focusing on mining and processing plant operations.

Lead project teams to ensure timely delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Manage engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities throughout the project's lifecycle.

Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project operations and adherence to safety and compliance regulations.

Monitor and report on project performance, providing regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

Manage risks, issues, and change controls to ensure the project remains on track and meets all defined objectives.

Ensure all engineering design, procurement, and construction activities are aligned with the project’s strategic goals.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Proven experience working in an EPCM environment, ideally within the mining sector, with significant exposure to mineral processing plant projects.

Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage large-scale projects from design through to commissioning and operational handover.

Solid understanding of construction, procurement, and engineering design processes, with a strong focus on safety and quality assurance.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage key relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Previous experience with large mining projects or in a processing plant setting is highly desirable.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
