About the role

We are seeking two talented and dedicated Food Manufacturing Assistant to join our dynamic team at Pepo Farms in Ovens, Victoria. These 2 x full-time positions will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the seamless and efficient manufacture of our high-quality pumpkin seed and nut products.

What you'll be doing

• Operation of a Form, Fill, Seal packaging machine – check weighing, labelling, boxing of products.
• Chocolate panning seeds and nuts.
• Bottle filling, capping and labelling of oils and vinegars.
• Seed and nut flour milling.
• Roasting seeds and nuts – working in a hot environment.
• Manual handling of bulk products – heavy lifting.
• Operating production equipment while ensuring optimal performance and output
• Performing quality inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process to maintain product standards
• Accurately recording and documenting production data, inventory levels, and other relevant information
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using production equipment and technology
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
