We are currently seeking a passionate Caseworker to join our Permanency Support Program and make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal children, young people, and families.

About the Role
We are offering two exciting opportunities for a Caseworker to join our Permanency Support Program. This role involves managing a caseload of Aboriginal children and young people, ensuring that they receive the best possible care. You will work closely with carers, birth families, and NSW Community Services child protection teams to support and implement care plans.
Note: we have two vacant parental leave positions, with contracts ending in November 2025 and June 2026. Both positions have potential to be extended.
Requirements
- Working with Children's Check
- NSW Driver’s Licence (minimum P2)
- National Criminal History Check upon commencement
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage allocated caseload, meeting all case management responsibilities
- Complete relevant reporting and documentation, such as S149 and S163
- Maintain regular contact with children, young people, and Carers
- Review and facilitate case plans, ensuring key stakeholders attend relevant meetings
- Support and supervise contact between children and their birth families and significant others
- Participate in on-call duties
Skills and Experience
- Current NSW Driver’s License (minimum P2)
- Willingness to travel across metropolitan Sydney to support families
- Experience in Out of Home Care or the Child Protection sector
- Relevant qualifications or extensive life skills
- Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families, and children
- Experience working with birth families experiencing intergenerational trauma
- Understanding of the impacts of Drugs & Alcohol, Mental Health, and Domestic Violence on families
- Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and families
