Are you passionate about cooking and looking to enhance your culinary skills? We have an exciting opportunity for you!
As a full-time Cook, you will create mouth-watering culinary delights for our guests across our various venues. In this role, you will prepare meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, cook meals, check ingredients for freshness, and arrange and garnish dishes. You will work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and take direction well. Additionally, you will ensure the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.

Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef or Food & Beverage Manager to prepare meals during service hours.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Monitoring and restocking of kitchen supplies.
- Maintain quality control to always ensure consistency in the presentation of food and service to guest.
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role?
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
- Cert II Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Victorian Safe Food Handling certificate
- Demonstrated good communication skills (verbal & written)
- A passion for cleanliness and standards.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Have full Australian working rights. International applicants are required to obtain their own visa with valid Australian work rights.
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
- Have an Australian drivers licence (Victorian licence preferred)
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
- Available to work weekends and school holidays.
- Available from June to 30 September (or the declared snow season)

Salary: $35.95 – $40.34 p/h including casual loading

Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort is Melbourne's closest downhill skiing and boarding destination and opens 364 days a year. Snow season begins on Queens Birthday Weekend in June and ends around the start of October. In summer the resort operates as a mountain biking and hiking destination.
