Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is proud to be partnering with local government based in the Redland Bay area to recruit an Assistant/Financial Analyst. On offer is a 6-month casual-based contract based, with 1-2 WFH flexibility once settled into your new opportunity.
Your next role:
The Assistant/Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development of budgets and annual documentation, managing forecasting and trend analysis.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Support the creation and oversight of the annual corporate budget and budget reviews.
• Perform financial modeling and analysis to inform critical decision-making.
• Prepare financial reports and deliver insights to key stakeholders.
• Ensure the upkeep of budget policies, procedures, and systems.
• Work closely with teams across the Council to improve financial processes.

About you:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting
• Strong Excel skills, with an analytics mindset
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
