Manny's Italian located at Wellington Point is seeking to employ a full – time permanent Cook to join our team. The offered salary is $70,000 - $75,000.

Applicants must hold the following relevant qualifications / experience:

• AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Kitchen Management
• Have at least 1 year of related experience

Applicants are required to undertake the below duties and responsibilities:

• Where necessary, collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and update menus, including daily specials and menus for seasonal or special booked events.
• Prepare and cook food according to the menu, including sauces and proteins, while adhering to special dietary requirements and avoiding cross-contamination.
• Ensure food safety training certifications, such as the Safe Food Handling Certificate, are current and up to date.
• Monitor all stages of food preparation and ensure dishes meet high-quality standards in both taste and presentation.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including checking of temperature-controlled storage.
• Regulate cooking equipment such as ovens and grills to maintain optimal cooking temperatures. Ensuring to inform maintenance or appropriate contact for equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients at all times by implementing proper food storage and following FIFO 'first-in-first-out' method
• Enforce strict health and safety practices within the kitchen environment.
