The role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Sushi kotobuki' in East Brisbane, QLD. This full-time position will see you play a pivotal role in preparing and cooking high-quality Japanese cuisine in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of Japanese dishes to our exacting standards
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and seamless food preparation and service
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment
• Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
• Assisting with stock management and ordering of supplies
• Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive team culture

What we're looking for

• Proven experience more tha 1 year as a Cook, preferably in a Japanese or Asian cuisine restaurant
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients
• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes
• A commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
• A positive, adaptable and team-oriented attitude
