About the role

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to older adults and individuals with disabilities in the Melbourne West area. What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Assisting clients with access to the community with transportation and economic participation activities
• Providing companionship and engaging clients in recreational activities to promote their wellbeing
• Advocating for client needs and collaborating with the care team to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
• Adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar caregiving role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or a willingness to obtain)
• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
