We are currently looking for a Community Based Registered Nurses to join our NQ Quality Care Team.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

Collaboration with Medical Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals:

  • Working in coordination with Medical Practitioners and other Health Care Professionals

Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care

  • Administration of client Medication
  • Providing complex clinical care, including palliative care, bowel care, catheter care and oxygen administration

Nursing Assessments and Care Planning:

  • Undertaking Nursing Assessments
  • Developing personalised Care Plans in collaboration with the individual’s relatives or care givers.
  • Monitoring and providing feedback on the individuals well-being and reporting on progress.
  • Ensuring that all interactions with individuals are conducted with Empathy, compassion and respect and that all services delivered are in accordance with the NDIA Guidelines.
  • Understanding and following all relevant laws and regulations governing Healthcare and Nursing Practitioners.

Training And Guidance:

  • Provide training, coaching and guidance to NQ Quality Care Workers, Enrolled Nurses and Case Managers as required.
  • Develop training materials for individual specific needs
  • Identify and additional training needs and guidance and deliver this in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Conduct Skills assessments for Quality Care Workers and NQ Quality Care Employees performing complex care services.
  • Ensuring that all interactions with individuals are conducted with Empathy, compassion and respect and that all services delivered are in accordance with the NDIA Guidelines.
  • Understanding and following all relevant laws and regulations governing Healthcare and Nursing Practitioners.

Commitment to Professional Development:

  • Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development.
  • Participating in Client Meetings, Management Meetings and attending training opportunities when required.

This role is comprehensive in nature, and we are looking for someone who understands the importance of a holistic and collaborative approach. The role involves, not only patient direct care but also training and development aspects to ensure a high-quality standard of service provision.

  • What you will need:
  • Bachelor of Nursing (Mandatory)
  • AHPRA Registration (Mandatory)
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certificate (Mandatory)
  • Current and satisfactory NDIS Workers Screening Card & Blue Card (Mandatory)
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Mandatory)
  • Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the community care or health/aged care sector
  • Understanding of NDIS Community Nursing guidelines or previous community nursing experience
  • Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
