Senior Manager - Data Science & Analytics – $195K + Super + Benefits

Sirius is partnering with a growing financial services organisation embarking on a major data transformation. You will play a pivotal role in driving this transformation by leading a team of data analysts and implementing cutting-edge analytics initiatives. This is truly an awesome modern financial services company, with a brand-new office in the Sydney CBD. This role is both hands-on and highly strategic, requiring a leader who can extract, analyse, and communicate insights effectively to senior stakeholders. You will be responsible for building predictive models, driving operational efficiencies, and embedding a data-driven culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts
• Oversee the data extraction process to support strategic initiatives.
• Develop and implement predictive insights, advanced analytics and machine learning models
• Present insights to senior leadership, influencing data-driven decision-making.
• Design compelling data visualisations
• Collaborate with key business functions to embed data analytics into business operations.
• Drive continuous improvement across data

Key Skills and Experience

• Proven leadership experience in data analytics or data science
• Strong stakeholder management and storytelling skills to translate data into insights.
• Expertise in SQL for extraction and manipulation.
• Advanced experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistical modelling
• Hands-on experience with text mining and unstructured data analysis.
• Background in financial services preferred
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and operations research is a plus.
