About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Visualisation and Reporting to lead and build out our data analytics and business intelligence landscape. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive expertise in data analytics operations, data management, BI solution design, and data visualisation. The ideal candidate will drive the reporting ecosystems' strategy, implementation, and optimisation, ensuring actionable insights that support business growth and decision-making.

Remuneration:
circa $230,000 + Super + Bonus (Hybrid working)

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of 8: SQL Developers, Power BI Business Analysts and a Data Project team (Data engineers and solution architects).
• Develop and implement best practices for data visualisation and reporting frameworks.
• Align data and analytics strategy with business objectives to enhance decision-making.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee service-level agreements (SLAs).

Data Visualisation & Reporting:

• Design and implement enterprise-wide BI and reporting platform using Power BI.
• Oversee the development and delivery of dashboards, reports, and predictive analytics models.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across all reporting systems.
• Define and drive best practices in data storytelling and user experience for data visualisation.

Data Management & Analytics:

• Develop data governance frameworks to maintain high data quality and compliance.
• Oversee data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Drive innovation in data analytics, leveraging AI and machine learning capabilities.
• Lead the migration of data assets from on-premises systems to cloud platforms (Azure).

Operational Excellence & Performance Optimisation:

• Ensure the stability and scalability of data analytics and reporting ecosystems.
• Optimise data warehouse operations and reporting performance to enhance efficiency.
• Implement automation for data processes, reducing manual intervention and increasing reliability.
• Manage budgets and resource planning for data analytics projects.

Key Requirements:

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience with Azure Cloud and SQL databases.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and enterprise-level data visualisation tools.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and data modelling techniques.
• Expertise in AI and machine learning for predictive analytics and decision modelling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, T-SQL, and C#.

Leadership & Management:

• Extensive experience managing high-performing teams in data analytics and reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, bridging the gap between business and technology teams.
• Experience in Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall methodologies for project delivery.
• Ability to manage risk, compliance, and data governance frameworks.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Certifications in Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and Power BI technologies preferred.
• ITIL Foundation, Project Management, and Agile certifications are a plus.
