Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and advanced analytics.
  • Design, build, and optimise data warehousing solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Oversee and enhance the end-to-end data warehousing architecture, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Develop data and analytical pipelines to enable high-value analytics use cases.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret large data sets from multiple sources and develop custom data models and algorithms to support the delivery of innovative data solutions.
  • Establish and ensure strong data quality, accuracy and consistency standards across key managed data sources.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers to design, build, test, and deploy technical solutions.
  • Conduct code peer reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and best practices.

We'd love to hear from you if you…

  • Have demonstrated, real-work experience in data science or analytics engineering.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend fit-for-purpose solutions and technologies.
  • Have solid experience in, and strong understanding of, best practices in analytics, data management, and data architecture.
  • Have experience working in cross-functional teams, including with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
  • Can translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for senior stakeholders.
  • Can distil complex technical challenges into simple, achievable solutions and milestones
  • Approach every challenge with an open and solution-orientated mindset
  • Have tertiary qualifications in computer science, data science, information technology, statistics or a related field.

…and can demonstrate the following technical skills and qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions, including SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW), and familiarity with ABAP for SAP-related data processing.
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas, and best practices in data warehouse design.
  • Experience in designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
