Position: Fleet Operations Officer

Location: Logan

Employment Type: Mon – Fri, 36.25 hrs a week September 2025 with possibility of extension

Payrate: $39/hr + super

Maxima is currently seeking various highly motivated individuals as a Fleet Operations Officer for one of our government clients.

About the role:

In this role, you will be the vital link between the customers and client’s operational services, ensuring seamless plant allocation, efficient breakdown repairs and comprehensive driver training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage service requests and allocate jobs effectively.
• Provide expert advice on plant and equipment suitability.
• Liaise with suppliers and monitor hire equipment performance.
• Coordinate vehicle deliveries and pickups.
• Conduct contractor and stakeholder audits.
• Deliver comprehensive vehicle inductions and driver training.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain).
• Proven experience in facilitating driver training and inductions.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of plant and equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and asset management databases.
• Current "C" Class driver’s license.
• White Card.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of the hire industry.
• HR/HC License.
• Open Class and Forklift License.
