We are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join our amazing culture and fulfil this role.
The primary focus of this role is to proactively acquire new business and contribute to the growth of our client portfolio. This position requires a strong understanding of the latest marketing trends, exceptional interpersonal skills, sales experience and a commitment to representing our agency with professionalism, knowledge and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition: Proactively drive new business acquisition, staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and industry developments to maintain a high level of knowledge and credibility. Foster relationships with new business partners to meet sales targets.
Collaborative Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Head of Client Services to align marketing strategies and define the approach for the overall sale of new business opportunities.
Proposal and Pitch Development: Develop and generate scope of work documents and pitch decks in a timely manner, following agency guidelines and procedures. Ensure all proposals are reviewed and approved by the Head of Client Services before being presented to prospective clients.
Client Engagement: Conduct discovery meetings with prospective clients to develop a solid understanding of their goals, objectives, budgets, previous marketing efforts, project requirements, and timelines. Uphold the highest level of conduct when engaging with prospective clients, representing the agency positively and professionally at all times.
CRM Management: Utilise customer relationship management tools such as HubSpot or equivalent to manage and nurture deals, ensuring the Head of Client Services can see the stage of each deal. Review sales performance by analysing performance reports within the CRM.
Sales Performance Monitoring: Provide input on sales incentive structures and key performance indicators to help monitor targets.
Client Retainer and Contract Adherence: Adhere to agency standards regarding client levels, minimum retainer amounts, and contract lengths.
