About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Education and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Events teams at the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine. As the Head of Education and CPD Events, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive education program to support the professional development of our members, who are medical professionals specialising in ultrasound. This is a full-time role based in our Chatswood, NSW office.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the design, development and delivery of the Society's education and CPD event program
• Develop and implement strategies to manage risks and recommend strategies for procedural efficiencies
• Lead the review cycle of education governance and compliance, collaborate with the CEO to address issues, and stay informed about regulatory changes to provide recommendations
• Manage a team of education and events professionals to support the successful execution of all educational offerings
• Identify emerging trends and needs in medical education and ultrasound practice to inform the development of new courses and events
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subject matter experts, speakers and volunteers
• Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of all educational initiatives
• Contribute to the Society's overall strategy as a member of the senior leadership team

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (8+ years) in medical education, CPD event management or a related field
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams
• Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Proven track record in effective project management with strong commercial acumen skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Thorough understanding of the professional development needs of medical practitioners
