Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies is seeking an Administration & Accounts Officer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented professional to take on a varied role encompassing administration, accounts, and HR support in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

About the Role:

As the Administration & Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the business. Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing general administration tasks such as data entry, document management, and customer inquiries.

Handling accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and reconciling transactions.

Supporting payroll and HR functions, including onboarding, maintaining employee records, and assisting with compliance requirements.

Assisting with financial reporting and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensuring office operations run efficiently by coordinating supplies, schedules, and internal communications.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in administration, accounts, or HR support (previous experience in construction, trade, or supply industries is a plus).

Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar).

Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.

The ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy team environment.
