Mountain View Café, located within the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve Maleny is seeking passionate and talented Chefs to join our dynamic team. As a Chef at MVC, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valued customers. This role has the potential for full time for the right candidate, offering the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and contribute to the growth and success of our thriving cafe.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and cook a variety of quality, creative dishes
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and streamline kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout your shift
• Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive work environment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in a cafe or restaurant setting
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
• Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create delicious meals
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
• Ability to move with pace
