About the role:
Are you an OT graduate looking for a new role ? Are you looking for an opportunity to work with children and adults within their natural environment? and do you thrive in a collaborative environment? If the answer is yes, then we have the perfect role for you!
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an occupational therapist to join us on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week) providing community outreach therapy services within the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.
In the role, you will participate in a 12 month program designed to provide opportunities to assist you with the transition from student to clinician. Daily clinical supervision will be provided by a Senior Occupational Therapist. Ample opportunities to shadow your supervising Occupational Therapist will assist you to settle into the role and grow your clinical skills and experience.
Overview of Duties:
- Complete comprehensive assessments and implement strategies working with clients across the life-span.
- Provide therapy supports and consultation services, tailored to clients needs.
- Assess and prescribe assistive technology and minor home modifications with clinical support from a senior OT.
- Write progress notes.
- Write OT reports.

What do you need for the role?
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist is required prior to commencing employment.
- Valid Victorian Drivers license and reliable motor vehicle.
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential.
- Current police, working with children and DWES check.
