CATSys is launching their existing software solution into the market and preparing it to meet the challenges and requirements presented in a modern security orientated platform. As we advance in this area, we are seeking an experienced Power BI Report Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data visualization and analysis, coupled with the technical skills to create robust, insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI.

What you will be doing

• Design, build, and optimize flexible Power BI data models, prioritizing user experience, performance, and consistency.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.
• Translate complex data sets into meaningful and actionable reports and visualizations.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
• Provide training and support to end users on how to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards

The position is mainly focused on building data capability and reporting in accordance with a 3 year data strategy roadmap.

As such having detailed, current and hands on development across Power BI visualisation, dashboards and reports, writing DAX Queries, Advanced SQL skills and understanding of relational databases is essential.

You will build data warehouses, ETL processes and data models.

In addition to technical experience you must demonstrate excellent communications and stakeholder management skills as some business analysis activities are also performed in this position.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in IT related field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization (with at least 2 years in Power BI)
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with SQL Server and other database technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, with a strong track record of writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, particularly Azure.
• Experience working with large datasets in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
