About the Role:
The diverse and rewarding role is perfect for someone looking to take ownership of the HR function whilst ensuring workplace health and safety compliance, and managing workers compensation. Reporting directly to the general managers and directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Fair Work and WHS legislation.
- Assist with preparation of employment contracts, HR documentation, and position descriptions.
- Oversee and implement WHS policies, site inductions, risk assessments, and audits.
- Monitor and manage workers compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work processes.
- Act as the primary First Aid Officer, ensuring prompt and compliant responses to workplace injuries.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Maintain and coordinate staff training records, certifications, and development programs.
- Provide administrative support for payroll, HRIS systems, and general HR/WHS tasks.
- Ensure accurate reporting and maintain confidential records.
- Manage all Human Resources at all Steel Supplies Branches and work closely with the branch managers to maintain them.
Essential:
- Minimum Cert IV Human Resources
Desirable:
- Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Certificate IV in Work and Health Safety or willing to obtain.
- Previous experience in WHS, Injury management and or workers' compensation
- Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.

Hours are:
Monday-Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (Negotiable/Flexible for the right Candidate)
1 hour lunch break.
Renumeration:
$70,000 - $110,000 (Pending experience)
