About the Role:

Payne Diesel Services, trading as Ausdraulics Pty Ltd, is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel & Hydraulic Fitter to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers a mix of workshop and on-site work, supporting a wide range of clients across industries such as mining, marine, and heavy machinery. We specialise in hydraulic and diesel component overhauls and pride ourselves on delivering expert workmanship and quality service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Overhauling hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and power units in our fully equipped workshop
• Performing field service and breakdown work at Minesite and Client Locations
• Oxy-acetylene cutting, hot work, and fabrication as required
• Completing engine repowers and overhauls—primarily with Deutz and Off-Highway Mercedes engines
• Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems and hosing on a wide range of equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter or Hydraulic Fitter (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, cylinders, and pumps
• Confident in diagnostics and fault-finding
• Ability to work independently, especially on breakdown and minesite service work
• Experience with Deutz and Off-Highway Mercedes engines (advantageous)
• Welding and fabrication experience is highly regarded
• Solid commitment to safety protocols and high-quality workmanship
• Mine site experience and relevant industry tickets are highly desirable
