About the role

As the Duty Manager for Seafront Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our prestigious hotel in Penneshaw, South Australia. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the hotel, from supervising staff to addressing guest needs. You will be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to the overall success and growth of the business.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the daily operations of the hotel
• Lead a team of hospitality professionals, providing guidance, training and support
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
• Monitor and maintain hotel standards, policies and procedures
• Liaise with other department heads to coordinate activities and resolve issues
• Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives
• Ensure the hotel's compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
• Contribute to the overall profitability and growth of the business

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (4+ years) in a similar Duty Manager or leadership role within the hospitality industry
• Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
• Proficient in hotel operations, and food and beverage management
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality management or a related field is highly desirable
