About The Role:
The Senior Policy Officer undertakes research and analysis of social procurement policies, practice improvement, initiatives and guidance. The position contributes to the development and implementation of social procurement policies, practices and guidelines intended to achieve positive community outcomes through Government contracting of Aboriginal businesses and disability enterprises.
The role provides timely advice and support to key stakeholders, including Government agencies, social sector organisations and suppliers, in relation to procurement and policy related activities. This role also supports the building of relationships amongst key stakeholders with the intention of improving social procurement outcomes.
About You:
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have policy development experience. You will require excellent writing skills and the ability to effectively liaise, advise, educate and influence others. Knowledge of procurement in the context of the WA Government is advantageous.
Although it is not an essential requirement, we believe an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person, or a person with disability will bring highly relevant lived experience to develop effective and appropriate social procurement policies.

Currently there is one (1) permanent full-time or part-time position available for filling. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Agency within the next twenty-four (24) months on a full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term basis with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
