About The Role:

The Senior Procurement Manager provides professional procurement advice and develops complex and high-risk contracts. This involves developing complex procurement documents, understanding of contract management principles and practices, and applying critical thinking when making decisions. The Senior Procurement Manager will interpret and apply procurement policies, influence expert stakeholder groups to deliver outcomes-focused solutions and mentor and lead the development of other procurement practitioners

About You:

You are a passionate procurement professional who is able to see the big picture, think and act strategically and be comfortable with uncertainty and risk. You need to be a people-person, a strong communicator and pragmatic and flexible, and someone who can tailor their team leadership approach to support diverse team members.

You will use your technical knowledge, experience and strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence value for money outcomes. Your leadership skills and values will inspire others and drive Finance towards embedding a customer centric and outcomes-focused culture.

This position operates in the context of Leading Others. This means that you will motivate and enable others to deliver high quality work. You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding and developing others. This requires a significant shift in thinking from ‘doing’ to supporting others to ‘do good work’; and consideration of present and future needs when allocating time to the team and projects you lead. You will articulate how work is to be done, providing clear direction and feedback.
