One of Melbourne’s top architecture and design practices is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their established practice. In this role, you will lead the development and submission of high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working closely with the directors, design teams, and marketing department, you'll craft compelling narratives that showcase the firms innovative design approach and extensive expertise.

This established studio has grown to become one of Australia's most respected architectural practices. With over 60 years of design excellence, they partner with their clients to create spaces that foster community wellbeing across multiple sectors including education, healthcare, mixed-use development, and urban design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end bid management process, from opportunity identification through to submission
• Manage the marketing/graphics team
• Coordinate and collaborate with directors, architects, and subject matter experts to develop strong, responsive proposals
• Develop compelling content, including case studies, capability statements, and project methodologies
• Maintain and improve bid libraries, templates, and knowledge management systems
• Analyse win/loss data and implement continuous improvement strategies
• Manage multiple concurrent bid submissions with competing deadlines
• Coordinate and present at client interviews and presentations
  

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in bid management, preferably within architecture, design, or construction
• Proven track record of successful bid development and implementation
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
• Strong project management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Experience with InDesign, Microsoft Office suite, and CRM systems
• Understanding of government and commercial procurement processes
