Seeking a compassionate medical senior secretary/practice manager with strong administrative ability who will be working with a cardiology practice which is located in Westmead, NSW.
This role will be part time (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday).
Ideally, this role would suit an individual who is comfortable to work independently, drawing on a high level of previous experience. On clinical consulting days you will be working with 1 cardiologist and tending to patients in-person. On non-consultation days, the administrative work will be carried out on your own requiring general office duties to be carried out, such as; responding to telephone and email enquiries, organising operating lists, patient appointment scheduling, document scanning and liaising with relevant medical professionals to compile necessary documents for upcoming clinical days.
Responsibilities Include:
• Meeting and greeting patients, taking phone calls, responding to emails and booking patient appointments while keeping in line with the schedule for the day.
• Compiling necessary documents needed for consultation days by contacting appropriate general practitioners, hospitals, referrers, and chasing any relevant diagnostic results (initial training will be guided by the cardiologist to develop understanding of practices).
• Management of patient invoicing and receipting of consultations.
• Issuing accounts and collecting payments, and processing.
• Managing the complaints handling processes.
• Theatre list management.
The successful candidate will have:
• Experience working as a senior medical secretary/practice manager in a SPECIALIST practice (preferably cardiology practice)
• Prior experience with Gentu or Clinic to Cloud.
• Knowledge of Medicare processes.
• Highly skilled in verbal and written communication, in particular, relationship management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
