Due to our ongoing growth in the market, we are now looking for a new member in the Product team. This is a full-time role in our head office in the Brisbane CBD.
Job Description:
The role of the Product Coordinator is to support the Destination Specialist with their portfolio of destinations. Day to day tasks include but are not limited to contract loading, liaising with suppliers and other functions within the business (reservations, groups etc), packaging, uploading to websites and assistance in marketing.
This important role requires attention to detail, a high degree of critical thinking and willingness to learn. The successful candidate will need to be pro-active in their role and have the ability to manage the destination in the absence of the Destination Specialist.
Working collaboratively with team members within the Product team, the Product Coordinators will be required to take ownership of assigned tasks across all aspects of destination portfolios.
This is a hands-on, can-do position working within the Product team, and from time to time you may be required to assist in other areas across the business.
Job Description overview:
- Loading of rates from suppliers (Hotels etc) into our booking platform (Tourplan) and onto our brands website
- Actioning of sales team requests in central inbox in a timely manner
- Managing inventory reporting within Tourplan (static allotment, freesale and dynamic)
- Qualifying flight and hotel availability for sales
- Understand reporting requirements as well as creating and maintaining reporting for suppliers and destinations
- Upkeep of company websites and online booking engine including but not limited to: - Imagery / Content / Specials / Messaging / Reporting / Package uploads
- Liaising with suppliers for business needs along with Destination Specialist
- Attend in house destination training, to become an expert in our destinations
- Attend destination events & functions out of work hours as professional learning and development
- Provide assistance to Sales team with product knowledge
Qualifications & experience
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience from within the Travel Industry (Preferred)
- Sound knowledge of the South Pacific region (Preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer literacy; experience with Tourplan would be considered advantageous
- Experience in use of GDS (Amadeus preferred, but not essential)
