The Role:

Are you ready to play a key role in bringing exceptional activewear to life? Aver is seeking a talented Designer and Production Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of our apparel products, ensuring they move seamlessly from design to delivery, launching online on time and meeting target margins.

In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate daily with the Founder and Marketing team while taking the lead on all supplier communications and relationships. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with a collaborative spirit, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to work closely with key stakeholders to drive the growth of our apparel category.

Key Responsibilities include:

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

• Manage the production timeline in collaboration with Design, Marketing and Merchandise teams.
• Supervise raw material booking and greige fabric management from sampling to bulk production, ensuring quality control and cost compliance.
• Set product lifecycle timelines and coordinate range development and delivery with Supply Chain and Distribution teams.
• Manage supplier production processes, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, compliance, and ethical guidelines.
• Ensure bulk production aligns with approved specifications, including Garment Tech touchpoints and Fit Sessions.
• Execute sourcing in partnership with Design and manage pricing & MOQ negotiations.
• Support Finance with cash flow, greige stock, and invoice management.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Google sheets

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in a production role within the apparel industry for a minimum of 2-4 years.
• Expertise in working with high-quality apparel products, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and reporting, with the ability to adapt to evolving technology.
• Culturally sensitive in offshore communications, fostering strong working relationships.
• Obtains knowledge of product specification principles.
• Familiarity with international best practices in quality control principles and processes.
