About the role

The Catering Coordinator is responsible for assisting with our delivered catering offering, event management & sales, food & beverage service and guest experiences at offsite events & venues.

This position works closely with the General Manager, Operations Manager and Head Chef to ensure successful business & event planning and implementation of company procedures to create remarkable client & guest experiences.

Qualifications & experience

  • Current RSA and RMLV certificates (or willing to obtain).
  • 1+ years' experience in a high-end restaurant, catering business or 5-star hotel.
  • Driver’s license (required).
  • Exceptional food and beverage service knowledge and ability.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Time management, communication & planning skills.
  • Experience managing food & beverage service for small & large sit down & cocktail style events.
  • Ability to manage & train front of house team members.
  • Work effectively as part of a small team.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Work closely with the kitchen and front of house team to deliver a consistently exceptional client experience.
  • Hands on management of food and beverage service at offsite events, venues, and corporate client sites for sit down and cocktail style events.
  • Event coordination & sales - answer client enquiries, create quotes, event orders, delivery schedules, packing lists and perform related administrative duties.
  • Work with the management team to create a socially and environmentally responsible business.
  • Provide an exemplary level of customer service.
  • Set up and pack down events (tables settings, bump in/out equipment, set up bars etc.)
  • Load catering vans with food orders, beverages & equipment and perform deliveries to client sites.
  • Responsibility for client & guest service experience for full-service events and our delivered catering offering.
  • Assist with the development & management of WWG’s delivered catering & contract catering accounts.
