About the Role:
Happy Alley Rockdale is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our iconic venue. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive the business forward, inspire and drive a team of retail, digital and operational owners, and create exceptional experiences for our guests.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing staff, driving retail, online, corporate and wholesale sales, executing events, and ensuring top-notch service standards. You will have the autonomy to shape the future of the venue, improve operational efficiency, and foster a positive, collaborative team culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise revenue, control costs, and boost profitability.
- Oversee event planning and execution, ensuring every event exceeds customer expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to drive business growth.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements across all operations.
- Analyse venue performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive team culture by encouraging collaboration, accountability, and growth.
- Create and implement innovative service standards to enhance the guest experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of senior management experience in hospitality, ideally within a similar environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Expertise in event planning, customer management, and building long-term business relationships.
- A passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences while driving operational success.
- Agility and resourcefulness in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
