The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished finance executive to join a rapidly expanding founder led retail group listed on the ASX. Growing organically and aggressively via acquisition they have a reputation for being at the forefront of their industry.

The Challenge

Leading the group’s corporate accounting function, you will be instrumental in overseeing the delivery of the financial results. You will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

• Oversight of the monthly consolidation process and month end close, including ensuring the integrity of Group financial results
• Responsibility for the delivery and accuracy of the Group statutory reporting requirements and audit process
• Lead the delivery of consolidated reporting to the Board, including ongoing evolution of reporting in line with the expansion of the Group
• Oversee preparation of local and international income tax filings and indirect tax returns with support from local and external accountants
• Prepare and lodge all tax related submissions with support of external tax advisers
• Maintain internal controls and ensure the integrity of the general ledger and all transactions
• Implementation and embedding of new ERP system and BI platform
• Creation and management of risk management processes
• Providing support and guidance to the group on all technical accounting matters and the associated implications including support for M&A activities
• Preparation and presentation of key matters to the Audit & Risk Committee
• Supporting the FP&A team with the coordination of the annual budget and reforecasting process

The Expertise

To be considered for this opportunity it is likely you will possess the following:

• CA qualified, ideally you commenced your career in audit at EY, KPMG, Deloitte or PwC
• Superior technical accounting and financial reporting experience
• Proven financial controller experience in an ASX listed or similar environment
• Process improvement and change management experience to successfully deliver new finance operating models
• Proven experience to create efficiencies in financial information flow and challenge existing thinking
• Experience in the development and maintenance of finance systems
• High achievement drive with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Autonomy and drive to work effectively in a fully remote working environment and culture will be paramount to your success
