Your new role

As an APS6 HR Generalist, you will take a leadership role under limited direction, performing tasks such as:

• Providing expertise, support, and guidance on complex HR and operational issues.
  
• Resolving challenges while anticipating future needs and outcomes.
  
• Overseeing team leadership, resource management, performance planning, and decision-making.
  
• Engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders on sensitive matters.
  
• Contributing to strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development for long-term initiatives.
  
• Driving business improvement strategies to enhance inclusion and culture.
  
• You will play a vital role in achieving meaningful outcomes and making positive, lasting impacts on the community.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Expertise in HR functions and a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  
• Proven ability to manage and resolve complex, sensitive issues in a Federal Government environment.
  
• Excellent writing skills for briefs and reporting.
  
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  
• Experience in strategic planning, program and project management, and business improvement initiatives.
  
• Tertiary HR qualifications are desirable.
  

To be considered for this role you must be an Australian citizen and currently hold an active Federal Government Security Clearance, Baseline at minimum.
