About the Role:
As a Project Planner/Scheduler, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of multiple construction projects. Your responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and reporting on project programs while working closely with project teams and stakeholders. You will apply your expertise in project scheduling and resource management to drive on-time project completion while mitigating risks and managing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate project schedules using MS Project and Primavera P6, supporting multiple marine construction projects
- Allocate and manage resources (plant, labour, materials) across various project stages to ensure efficient progress and minimal delays
- Prepare programs and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) from project scopes, designs, and methodologies.
- Monitor project progress, perform earned value analysis, and ensure that critical path, productivity, and cash flow forecasts are maintained and updated regularly
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to both internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, and contingencies, ensuring effective mitigation of potential delays or budget impacts
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and client contract requirements for all project schedules
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Attributes
Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail will be crucial to your success in this role.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred
- Project planning/scheduling experience in the construction, civil or marine industry
- Proficient in using MS Project and Primavera P6 software
- Understanding of design, engineering, procurement, and construction processes
- Proven track record in managing project schedules, resources, and budgets
- Knowledge of earned value techniques, critical path analysis, and risk management
