Are you passionate about social media, content creation and all things marketing? Do you have a knack for driving engagement and love working in a team environment? Art Shed is on the lookout for a creative and driven Social Media & Content Coordinator to amplify our brand across various digital platforms and provide support to our Marketing Manager.
About Art Shed:
Art Shed is an art supplies retailer with an online presence and a retail store. Our focus on people makes us different, hiring creatives who love to share their skills. We are also customer-obsessed as we see the brand's growth through our relationship with our customers.
We want everyone who enters our store to feel like a kid in a candy store. Art Shed has a tongue-in-cheek, quirky, fun culture that can be seen in our team and marketing.
What sets us apart:
- We are a family business that has been in operation for over 18 years, and we genuinely care for our people. We are proud to say many of our staff have stayed with us for over 10 years.
- We are a fast-growing company and encourage taking creative risks and learning as a team.
- We value creativity and innovation over stagnation and the status quo.
Our brand values:
- ENGAGING & HELPFUL: We always give our time & share our passion
- WONDER & JOY: We are creative, a little cheeky & believe anything is possible.
- WARM & WELCOMING: Where everyone feels included and returns with a smile.
- FEARLESS & FREEDOM: Break the rules! (within reason, of course, haha)
About the role:
We are seeking a permanent part-time Social Media & Content Coordinator who is enthusiastic about enhancing customer experience and driving social engagement. This role involves close collaboration with the marketing team and direct reporting to the Marketing Manager.
Some of your key areas of responsibility will include:
Key responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to increase follower engagement and brand awareness.
- Content Creation: Craft and manage captivating content across all social media channels, including video content, aligning with our brand voice and marketing objectives.
- Social Media Management: Manage our social media platforms, create engaging posts, and analyse their performance to boost our online presence.
- Video Editing: Produce and edit videos that are both informative and appealing, ensuring they align with campaign goals and audience preferences.
- Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on performance metrics to guide future social media strategies and content adjustments.
- Customer Interaction: Address customer inquiries with exceptional service across all digital platforms.
- Team Collaboration: Join forces with the marketing and e-commerce teams to execute cohesive and impactful campaigns.
- Marketing Support: Assist the Marketing Manager in various tasks and projects suited for the department.
About you:
At Art Shed, we work as a team! We are looking for proactive and driven individuals who can lead by example and demonstrate high enthusiasm and commitment. Our culture is tongue-in-cheek, fun, and sometimes a little silly, and our primary focus is providing the best customer service. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven background in social media management and content creation, with strong analytical skills to track performance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- High-energy, creative, and quick-thinking, with the ability to adapt to new challenges and fast-paced changes. Emerging social media trends often influence our marketing decisions, so you must be comfortable pivoting and making dynamic, on-the-fly adjustments.
- Experience in Video Editing
- A good sense of humour is a must—we take art (but not ourselves) seriously
- Genuine enthusiasm for creating engaging content and a love for arts would be a great addition.
- Sound knowledge of all Social Media Platforms.
- Sound knowledge of Canva.
- Knowledge of Klaviyo would be excellent but not essential.
- Knowledge of Monday.com would be excellent but not essential.
- If you can’t handle a bit of chaos with a laugh, this might not be the place for you. Our culture is cheeky, fun, and fearless—we think big, move quickly, and aren’t afraid to shake things up. A sharp wit and a good sense of humour are essential.
Why work with us:
If you work with Art Shed, you:
- Will work in a creative environment with family values at its core
- Will be part of an action-packed, fast-paced company
- Are a valued member of the team
- Will be part of a progressive Australian company with an opportunity for growth
- Have access to generous staff discounts on Art Supplies
This is a part-time role, working three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 AM to 2:30 PM. There is potential for additional hours in the future.
