The Corruption and Crime Commission can offer contracts up to five years, with the possibility of further contracts and/or extension through reappointment. Suitable applicants may be considered for subsequent or similar vacancies within the next 12 months. Currently one full-time position is available, however part-time arrangements may be considered.

THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose purpose is to expose and disrupt corruption, serious misconduct and organised crime. The Commission works to give the WA community confidence that public officers act in the public interest.

The Corporate Services Directorate ensures the delivery of high quality corporate support services to the Commission. This includes the effective and efficient delivery of human resources, financial services, information management and technology services, work health and safety compliance, and security and facilities services.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Assistant Director - Chief Human Resources Officer is responsible for leading and providing strategic direction to the Commission’s Human Resources function including workforce planning and analysis, organisational change, learning and development, leadership, performance, succession planning, recruitment, payroll, industrial relations and wellbeing. The position provides support and strategic advice to the Commission’s Executive Committee and contributes as a member of the Corporate Services leadership team.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who will:

· Provide strategic leadership and guidance on key HR functions including talent management, leadership development and employee engagement.

· Lead a team to deliver effective HR services and contribute to the overall success of the Commission.

· Advise on complex HR issues, providing solutions and recommendations.

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement.

The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.
