AustCorp Executive is working in partnership with a leading engineering consultancy. The company specialises in project management and executing large-scale industrial projects across Renewable energy.

The role we are recruiting for is a Principal Power Systems Engineer. This person will be responsible for power system studies as well as developing technical solutions to complex network and connection issues.

The Role

• Develop technical solutions for complex network and connection issues.
• Provide project management and support across a range of projects.
• Deliver power system studies for renewable energy projects.
• Identify opportunities for future work and project extensions.
• Provide guidance, coach and mentor engineers across the discipline

The Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8+ years proven technical experience.
• Project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated understanding of power system modelling with proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools such as SKM PTW, ETap, DigSilent PowerFactory, PSCAD, CYMCAP, CDEGS, etc.
• Experience and exposure working with network/ distribution NSPs, knowledge of the NER.
• Experience with AEMO connections and GPS studies will be advantageous.
• Natural ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
