Established over 30 years, our client is a hugely recognised company in the industry with a formidable reputation with the tier 1, 2, & 3 builders. They are now considered as being at the forefront of the industry. They specialise in providing remedial works, facade upgrades, concrete & structural repairs, building defects & services and work on small to major projects. As the business is growing, so is the size of the team, and the project size they are winning. The business have an excellent and collaborative culture and are looking to appoint a new HSEQ Coordinator to join their safety team.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, identify hazards, and carry out risk assessments to prevent incidents.
  • Provide specialist input into Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Hazard Environmental Analyses (JHEA), and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with work teams to identify risks, prepare JHEAs, and conduct team-based risk assessments.
  • Participate in incident investigations, applying root cause analysis and developing SMART corrective actions.
  • Support Health & Safety representatives to enhance their impact and effectiveness.
  • Review existing work procedures to identify opportunities for improving hazard controls and operational safety.
  • Coach, advise, and support the site team in implementing and auditing Health & Safety Plans and Procedures.
  • Clearly communicate Health & Safety compliance requirements to all team members and stakeholders.

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (essential).
  • Ideally you will have worked in the remedial industry in a similar role.
  • A current manual driver’s licence (essential).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Experience in conducting audits, investigations, and workplace inspections.
