About the Position

Working within our Community, Culture and Recreation team, this position will contribute towards creating a vibrant and enriched City of South Perth community through researching, developing and implementing community development programs, services and events primarily in the areas of:

  • Youth 10-25
  • Children 0-10 years including Early Years Network (Children 0-6 years); and
  • General community development and related projects, including coordination and support of the City's South Perth Youth Network (SPYN).

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

  • Diploma of youth work, community services or similar
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people and community organisations
  • Experience in developing, implementing and evaluation programs and projects
  • Experience with developing and acquitting funding submissions
  • Current 'C' class drivers licence
  • Working with Children Check

This temporary part time position will be required to work 22.8 hours per week, working Tuesday - Friday (hours negotiable across these days). The successful candidate will require the ability to work outside office hours when required.
