From the initial staircase design, through to the custom manufacture and finally the installation, we ensure the care and precision is taken every step of the way. We are seeking an Engineering Technologist to join our team to provide technical expertise, project support, improve efficiency and quality control, drive innovation and customization, and ensure industry compliance and standards in the design and installation of custom staircases.

About the Role

As an Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for:

• Develop and review work schedules to ensure their accuracy.
• Oversee engineering tasks, including design drafting and cost estimation.
• Assist with the design and development of engineering projects, ensure all deadlines and milestones are met.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, schematics, and system documentation.
• Test and implement systems or installations to ensure they function as intended.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure the manufacture and installation meets approved designs and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and advice throughout the installation phase, solving any design or construction challenges.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, installers, marketing specialist, etc. to ensure successful project completion.
• Support the development and growth of junior staff by providing technical training and support.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with Australian safety regulations and relevant industry codes.
• Work on upgrading systems or software used in the design, engineering and installation processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in stair design, engineering solutions, installation techniques, and related fields.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 year of experience in engineering field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software.

• Strong analytical and research skills, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Proven organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and operational activities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and staff interaction.

• Located in Melbourne and available for immediate employment is preferred.
