We are seeking an EXCEPTIONAL Financial Accountant to join the ENGINE ROOM of the business reporting to the CFO and Managing Director. We are a busy & fast paced company, where we all LOVE to work hard but have fun doing it.

How YOU will contribute;

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the expansion of the Company which is headed toward a period of significant growth. Your role will include being a valued members of the finance team, overseeing accounts payable/receivable and payroll. You will drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and contribute to the timeliness of account preparation.

Key Responsibilities;

• Reconcile accounts and manage the daily requirements of financial operation.
• Collaborate with data entry finance staff.
• Oversee Finance Department Checklists.
• Regular engagement with operational leaders to monitor and evaluate operational performance, optimise efficiency, and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Production of regular management accounting reports considering operating performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Analysis of performance management accounting information to identify opportunities for improving business performance and outcomes
• Assist in Statutory Returns including GST and FBT.
• Compliance with monitoring of management accounting principles practices, policies and procedures adopted by the Company.
• Liaise where necessary with all external parties involved in the finance function, such as tax accountant and other professionals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and government requirements.
• Perform other duties as requested within your skills and abilities.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Formal professional qualifications such as CA/CPA supported by a tertiary degree.
• Analytical ability and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, reliability and timeliness.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach.
• Sound organisation and planning skills.
• Proficiency in XERO is highly regarded.

We need a switched on individual who can work within the organisation with guidance from the CFO. Must possess a positive attitude & have the resilience to push through challenges and problem solve!
