ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Payroll Officer, you’ll be the trusted expert for clients, managing payroll with precision and tackling queries with confidence. This role goes beyond processing transactions – you’ll provide proactive support, ensuring businesses stay compliant and efficient. You'll collaborate with a skilled team across bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting, gaining exposure to a variety of industries in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. DUTIES

• Client engagement – Provide expert payroll advice via phone & email
• Payroll processing – Manage payroll cycles (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) with precision
• Compliance and reconciliations – Handle superannuation, tax, and bookkeeping support
• Problem-solving – Tackle payroll queries and offer proactive solutions
• Team collaboration – Work closely with internal teams for seamless service delivery

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, client-facing payroll role
• Xero expertise – Confident using Xero for payroll and reconciliations
• Australian payroll knowledge – Strong understanding of GST, superannuation and tax compliance
• Exceptional communication skills – Client-focused, clear, and professional
• Resilience & adaptability – Thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment
