Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating, conducting, and promoting greyhound racing and welfare in our state. The sport generates $844.8 million in economic activity, about $3 billion in wagering, returns $70 million in prizemoney, and directly involves over 18,000 people.

GRV are looking for an Adoption Coordinator at our Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) for a 12-month secondment in Tullamarine to support the GAP Adoption team in all aspects of the greyhound adoptions through attending to adoption enquires, preparing adoption packs, updating greyhound information online, undertaking adoptions, completing adoption paperwork, providing follow up calls post adoption and attending adoption promotions.
All members of the Adoption team share responsibility for responding to phone enquiries and ensuring all visitors to GAP sites follow applicable infection control protocols. The team provides administrative and procurement support to GAP and maintain office supplies.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Administration: Handle GAP inquiries, manage visitor compliance, maintain reception areas, assist with filing, monitor office supplies, process payments, and reconcile petty cash.
Adoption program & Promotion: Manage adoption inquiries and applications, prepare adoption packs, undertake adoptions, update tracking systems, conduct follow-up calls with owners and trainers, and transport greyhounds as needed.
Maintain the GAP email database, send welcome emails, support the Adoption Manager with routine emails, collaborate with marketing on social media content, respond to comments, and assist with GAP promotions.
Skills:
Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated effective customer service skills required, at times in challenging situations
Excellent oral and written communication skills with sound literacy and the ability to prepare basic reports
Excellent data entry and records management skills
Strong MS office skills – email, Word, Excel.

We offer competitive pay, with this position classified as grade 3 under the GRV Employee Enterprise Agreement 2023-2024 which attracts a base salary of $76,998.00
