You’ve been working with supply chain applications and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for some time now. Maybe you’ve spent the last few years supporting a transformation, tackling complex projects and driving real change. It was exciting, new technologies, new processes, and the chance to shape the future of your business. But now, things have settled down. The transformation is largely complete, and what was once a fast-paced, high-stakes role has evolved into “business as usual”. Maybe you’re in a company where investment in WMS systems has dried up.
The challenges that once motivated you are few and far between. You’re still supporting, developing and optimising WMS systems, but the projects that once stretched your abilities and sparked your creativity aren’t there anymore. You’ve mastered the technology, but without new initiatives, you’re feeling stagnant. You know you’re capable of more, but your current role just doesn’t provide the platform to keep innovating and elevating.
Now you’re looking for something that will reignite your passion. A role where you can leverage your deep WMS expertise and take ownership of new challenges. These challenges are exciting - troubleshooting issues that could halt operations and navigating the critical knowledge transfer with other team members. But you’ll be empowered to solve these problems and make a real impact on the business. You’ll also be supported in your career growth, with mentors who will help you reach your full potential.
This opportunity caught your eye, a role where your WMS skills will be key to optimizing and evolving a new system, with the opportunity to truly shape the future of the organization.
You’ll be at the centre of an exciting multi-year (3-4 year) tech transformation, supporting the transition from a legacy WMS system to a new, cutting-edge SaaS platform. You’ll support its implementation across 13 sites in Australia and New Zealand and you’ll become the SME internally for the system. You’ll be the point of contact for supply chain applications issues, queries, changes, maintenance requests and enhancements. You’ll travel to the sites and will support a 24/7 manufacturing operation. No more waiting for projects to come around - you’ll make the role your own, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the system is running at its full potential and enabling the business.
In this role, you’ll be valued not just for your technical expertise, but for your humility and willingness to learn about the business to continue improving in your role. This is your chance to make a lasting impact on the organisation while growing your skills and career with direct exposure to senior leadership.
If you’re ready to step out of the BAU grind and into a role where you can take ownership, solve critical problems, and be part of something transformative, this role is worth considering.
Who you’ll work for:
One of Australia’s largest and most respected FMCG businesses. Western Sydney head office with parking on-site. Given you’ll be supporting supply chain applications you’ll be on-site 5 days per week. Their brands are instantly recognisable in households, and they have a deep mission and purpose centred around giving back to the community, sustainability and innovation.
As the business is operational 24/7, there will be some ad-hoc weekend and support work out of hours.
What you’ll need:
- Strong experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Technical proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of databases.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and configure WMS systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage issues quickly and efficiently; and
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams at all levels
